Triple rock Blues Band

The Triple Rock Blues Band is one of North Florida’s favorite blues acts featuring guitarist/vocalist Chris Adkins, his brother Ben Adkins on drums and their father Scott, who plays both keyboards and bass. They have been performing since 1997 and are frequently joined by guests on saxophone and bass. The group plays a unique, fresh rendition of electric blues, combining jazz, rock, and funk into their music, performing original songs as well as classic numbers from the past.

Scott, who is a former arranger and music director at the University of Southern Indiana has been playing bass for over thirty-five years and started performing on the blues organ in 2004. Music has always been a part of the family and he instilled a love of it in his sons from an early age.

Chris teaches privately and appears frequently around New Orleans with local and nationally known acts both on stage and in the studio.  Chris holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of North Florida and a Master of Music in Jazz Studies from University of New Orleans.  He appears frequently in the Northeast U.S. on tour with Maria Muldaur and her Red Hot Bluesiana Band.

Ben also earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies at the University of North Florida and a Master of Music in Performance (Jazz) at Florida State University. A former member of the Disneyland All-American College Band (2008), Ben performs frequently with many big bands and small combos throughout southeast United States. He is also a member of the New York City-based Jazz Conceptions Orchestra.

Although performance dates are now limited, the group throughly enjoys performing as a family and guarantees to bring an exciting brand of music to venues both small and large.
